5 way to become a Republican

October 6, 2009 1 comment

Is there really anyone else?

Is there really anyone else?

1.  Watch Fox News- The only source of non-partisanship news we have in this country. Glen Beck, Bill ORielly et al, are great people who continue to shed light on the obfuscation that those others profess as the truth. Where would we be if Michelle Malkin didn’t pen those Nobel Prize winning books?

2.  Put the American Flag anywhere and everywhere- put it right next to the Irish flag and shamrock, the Italian one too. Tell those people with flags from Mexico, Haiti, Poland and others to take them down or leave the country. Red, Black & Green? They should feel happy we brought them here. Away from the Dark Continent to enjoy our hospitality. Blacks sold slaves too you know.

The Gipper

3.  Hang a framed picture of the great Ronald Reagan in your house- realize that Reagan was a godsend. His economic policies increased the 1%s wealth hundredfold and we were a much better country that way. The way he broke unions, genius. Stock portfolios skyrocketed under him. The tough talk and how we bombed Grenada back into line. John Wayne would be happy. We supported the mujahedeen against the Russian Bear, helped Sadaam in his 10-year war against Iran, arms and training (bio-weapons be damned) to Dictators.

"Native" American

"Native" American

4.  Become a “Birther”- We know that bastard wasn’t born in America; he refuses to show us his birth certificate. His middle name is Hussein people! Arabic name from his Arabic background. Hussein is a MUSLIM name! He supported that effing ACORN, who had the audacity of registering people to vote. We were happily fine with the way it was.

Real American Heroes

5.  Finally…When all else fails Blame everything on immigrants – Realize that all of America’s problems came about when we let those people enter the home of the brave. We were here before them and this is our land. They should go back to where they’re from, including those dam Indians. Aren’t they from Asia originally?

Follow these 5 principles and you too can become red-blooded Americans. God bless the N.R.A. and all of those like us.

Political Thoughts

Old Glory

Old Glory

This past week was an interesting week in the world of politics. On Tuesday the President addressed the nations kids on the importance of self-responsibility and setting education goals. On Wednesday he addressed the House of Representatives on the proposed Health Care bill, which in its self is a contentious battle to say the least.

Tuesday saw the President address the kids of Wakefield High School in Arlington Va. President Obama has spoke on the importance of education many times and has made it a priority of his administration.

“. None of it will matter unless all of you fulfill your responsibilities. Unless you show up to those schools; pay attention to those teachers; listen to your parents, grandparents and other adults; and put in the hard work it takes to succeed.”

“And that’s what I want to focus on today: the responsibility each of you has for your education. I want to start with the responsibility you have to yourself.”

“I’m calling on each of you to set your own goals for your education – and to do everything you can to meet them”

These are just a few excerpts from the speech, I suggest you read it or better yet, watch it with your children. It’s a motivating and inspiring speech on education. Makes me want to go back to school.

Now I don’t know about you but I certainly did not hear any ”Socialist” propaganda and if the right thinks self-responsibility and erudition is socialism, well where do I sign up?

Wednesday saw the President at the House of Representatives, where he talked about the proposed Health Care plan his administration is trying to enact. As usual, the right cannot contain their anger and against all decorum South Carolina Representative Joe Wilson screamed out “You Lie” while pointing to the President. The Sergeant-at-Arms should of tossed him out of the chamber right there .The rights continued insistence that illegal immigrants will receive benefits, which mind you is nowhere in the bill, is nothing more than a play on the citizens whose xenophobia directs their politics.

Wilson is a member of the Sons of  Confederate Veterans, who promote secession and claim slavery was benign?  He also was one of those who attacked Essie Mae Washington-Williams, Strom Thurmond’s biracial love child he kept secret his whole life. First Wilson attacked her credibility and when Thurmond’s family acknowledged the truth he said that she still should have kept quiet and not harm his legacy. We can’t have an avowed racists reputation ruined by his love for the darker berry.

The President accepted Wilson’s half-hearted apology, which is my problem with Obama. He far too often tries to appease everyone. I wish he would go on the offensive more often. Repudiate their drivel and ram it back down their throats. But I’ll save that rant for another day.

The rights proclivity to attack and besmirch everything the President is trying to do is getting old real fast. Their constant attempts to paint him in a bad light, from questioning his birthplace to using their code words is exhausting. The attempts to label him with “dirty tags”, which are designed to infuriate the public against him, give me a headache. As they like to tell people to leave if they don’t like it, I challenge them to do the same.

Ted Kennedy 2/22/32 – 8/25/09

Edward M. Kennedy

Edward M. Kennedy

I wasn’t going to post about Ted Kennedy, leave it for others. Then while scanning the Herald this morning I came across a certain reporters (use this term lightly) piece concerning the “Liberal Lion”. This guy usually writes nothing but vile and hateful shit pieces.

“When it came to the white ethnic working class from which his father came, Kennedy just plain didn’t get it. Whether it was court-ordered busing in Boston in the 1970s, or the affirmative action policies that stymied the careers of so many of his family’s traditional voters, Kennedy never grasped the depth of the blue-collar frustration as he veered left.”

I know Howie, how dare those people (code words) want better schools for their children and/or a real opportunity to better themselves or future generations. I truly wanted to ride a bus while people threw objects at us. We wanted Police protection to “gets our education”. For me it’s another example of why the Herald is a fucking rag that caters to hateful people.

Back to the point, I’m not going to eulogize the man here. You can check out his record here for yourself. For me whenever I hear his name, I’ll think about the speech/eulogy he gave at the Worcester 6 funeral several years ago. It was a beautiful, heart wrenching, and eloquent oratorical speech. A style you seldom hear anymore.

The American way ?

Is this wrong ?

I was reading the New York Times today, when I came across this story. It made me wonder, have we ever been this xenophobic about immigrants ? Has the subject of immigration been a rallying cry for Nationalists Americans before ? Thanks to Google and other Internet sources I can find plenty of examples to fit my view !

The Chinese exclusion act of 1882 was one of the first things to pop up. The Immigration Act of 1924.There are many more, way more than I thought I would find. The one common denominator in all of the Acts seems to be when “less desirable” people (code word for Non-Whites) are immigrating, in more than acceptable numbers (code word for more than 1), Nationalists Americans go on the

Danger Danger

Danger Danger

“Danger Will Robinson” routine. From all angles we are bombarded by fear mongering tactics. “The end to the American way”, “crime explosion”, “anchor babies”, “bankrupt government” (as if we are not now), all designed to turn us into vigilante squads. We need to guard the borders and make sure “Our way is secured”.

We as Americans seem to forget history, or at least the uncomfortable parts whenever it suits our fancy. A nation of immigrants rallying against immigration is one of our most constant principles. You hear it all the time, no matter where you are or what you are doing the subject seems to always come up when Americas travails are mentioned. Do any of us know the truth or our we just catering to our fears ?

When I see an immigrant (regardless of color), I wonder what drove him or her to want to come to America. Hope for a better place, better opportunity for their children, fear of their old government ? Whatever it is/was I do give them credit for leaving all that they know and jumping into the unknown. As long as they assimilate and pay taxes, who am I to say go back home to where you came from. Most of the deadbeats I see are native Americans.

For those of you who cite statistical analysis supporting your hypothesis, remember ” There are lies, damned lies, and statistics
